The University of Western Australia’s Business School is one of nine faculties that comprise The University of Western Australia (UWA). UWA first began teaching Economics in 1912, and the UWA Business School is now home to over 5,800 students. These students study within the four discipline areas of Accounting and Finance, Economics, Management and Organisations, and Marketing. The School delivers undergraduate, postgraduate, and higher degrees by research and coursework programs and remains active in business research. The School is the only university in Western Australia to hold both the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation and Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation. == The University of Western Australia == The University of Western Australia is the oldest university in the state of Western Australia and has over 25,000 enrolled students. Established in 1911, UWA is the only Western Australian university to belong to the Group of Eight – a coalition of the top research universities in Australia – and it is one of only two Australian universities to belong to the Worldwide Universities Network, a partnership of 16 research-led universities from Europe, North America, North Asia and Australia. In the Good Universities Guide 2012 – the foremost non-government ranking of Australian universities – UWA has more four and five star rankings than any other university in the state. UWA was the only WA university to receive five star rankings in eight areas – staff qualifications, student demand, student/staff ratios, employment prospects, positive graduate outcomes, graduate starting salaries, research intensity and research grants.
